Mark M. Persaud, Founding President of the Canadian Guyanese Congress awarded the Queen Platinum Jubilee Award on Friday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the Throne. She is Canada’s longest reigning Sovereign and the first to celebrate a platinum jubilee.
He was also previously awarded the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals as well as a Canada 150 Medal for leadership and significant service to Canada.
